Publisher's Summary

Malt-y-Nos. Matilda of the Hunt. The lone woman who rides with the Wild Hunt, tasked with finding killers who’ve escaped justice and letting the hounds reap their souls. For Olivia Taylor-Jones, Matilda isn’t just a legendary figure from Welsh lore. She is Olivia’s past and her future - one she’s finally embraced.

Having accepted her role as Matilda, Olivia must now lead her first Hunt. Seems simple enough. But when she questions their target’s guilt, the Hunt is halted, and her mission has failed. Still, it’s just a matter of getting Gabriel’s help and investigating the man’s past to reassure herself that he’s guilty. He must be. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be a target. But the deeper she digs, the more problems she finds, until she must question everything she knows about the Hunt and the choice she’s made.

With Rough Justice, The New York Times best-selling author Kelley Armstrong weaves an unmissable novella-length tale connected to her fan-favorite Cainsville series.

Wonderful narration, both male and female.

Aisling Gray one of my favorite Audible narrators, brings another story alive for me. She has a wonderful, almost soothing way, of luring you into the story. Enjoyed very much.

Just good! (An exclamatory understatement)

Great story, intelligent, no 50 shades or cursing. Has romance, a little understated, but ENJOYABLE!

Thank goodness I finished It

this went slow and that was because you had to get through the retelling, retelling, retelling and retelling... also Gabrielle's moms name is Either pronounced Ciena or Shaina, very annoying to hear the story tellers pronounce it differently throughout the story.

Love the author, not so much the narrator

Let me start by saying that I love Kelley Armstrong, and I love her Cainsville series, so I was happy to see a new addition to the series. However, Aisling Gray sounds like she's just reading, with the occasional change of emphasis during dialogue so you know it's dialogue, but no real emotion or personality. If Jonathan Waters wasn't a part of the narration, I would have given it 1 star- he is much better- his Gabriel has a more realistic-sounding response to situations. It makes for a disappointing experience and I'm sorry to say that if Ms. Gray narrates future installments, I probably won't spend my book $$ on them.

Good story spoiled by disappointing narration

I love Kelley Armstrong’s Cainsville novels and the plot in Rough Justice continues Olivia and Gabriel’s story in an engaging and compelling way.

However, the narration badly disappointed me. The narrators’ voices did not enliven Olivia and Gabriel’s characters. The flat delivery also failed to tell the story with suitable dramatic impact. The two narrators pronounced the name of Gabriel’s mother, Cianna, in two different ways. That reeks of poor preparation and coordination from the narrators and producers.

The narrators of the five Cainsville novels, Julie McKay and Carine Montbertrand, delivered superior performances that set a high standard for this series. Regrettably, the narrators of Rough Justice fall far short of that standard.

What's Gabriel 's mother's name?

wish the narrators would all pronounce the Welsh words and names correctly. Otherwise a great story.
