Der Autor und Sprecher:
Herbert Rosendorfer wurde 1934 in Gries bei Bozen geboren, er wuchs dann in München auf. Nach dem Abitur war er kurze Zeit an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste, wechselte jedoch bald zum Jurastudium. Von 1969 bis 1993 war er Amtsrichter in München und bis 1997 Richter am Oberlandesgericht in Naumburg. 1990 wurde er zum Professor für bayerische Literaturgeschichte ernannt, 1993 erhielt er den Kurd-Laßwitz-Preis, 1999 den Jean-Paul-Preis, die höchste Auszeichnung für Literatur des Freistaats Bayern. 2005 wurde er für sein umfangreiches Werk mit dem Münchner Litaraturpreis ausgezeichnet.
