I enjoyed this so much and the narrator was wonderful, adding further depth and emotion into this heartfelt love story. The cast of characters were developed perfectly and framed against the backdrop of covid was extremely clever. It also managed to bring back that feeling of intense fear that enveloped the world back in early 2020, whilst also reminding us of the beauty of solitude and how it forced many of us to stop and assess our lives and what really made us happy. Highly recommended read from me.

Curtis’ writing from a modern feminist perspective while also being hugely entertaining is quite a feat.

I hope they cast this well!! Loved the performance by the narrator. The book just pieces together so nicely. It’s gentle yet has moments of relatable vulnerability.

I enjoyed this book BUT you need to know this is a very different book from Sittenfields previous ones. I felt like it was from a different author almost.
However I absolutely enjoyed it. I wanted to know more about these characters and follow them on their story BUT I found the narrators “male” voice very cringey and distracting. Because the book was quite dialogue heavy I think a male narrator to do the male parts would have been better. It felt weird and kind of cheesy the way the narrator read the male parts.

Predictable and, at times, corny, but I actually really enjoyed listening to this as a light-hearted escape. Perhaps it was the wine consumed while multi-tasking (baking while listening) but the last chapter actually had me laughing out loud. Definitely recommend for a lighter read.
