Most relevant  
the author does like to digress into the British class system which does feel anachronistic but it is set back prior to WWII so it's understandable. also, you never know the protagonist's name nor his intended target (though you can certainly guess), which i like. makes me feel the author isn't patronising me but thinks I'm smart enough to follow along. the actor reading was also very good.

unusual premise and of an era which makes it feel quite real.
