Great story

I loved this story so much that I suffered through the annoying female voice narrator. Many times I wanted to stop listening because of… her MANY …. Pauses….. and formula like reading. Stop… before saying last word of…..sentence. The male voice was great

What a journey

My journey started with this book as I’m not sure if this type of novels are my Cup of tea but I enjoy the previous book his and hers.
I like the way this story was written and the way story twisted the The audio was phenomenal you could easily tell that even the readers are enjoying the stories which makes it easy to listen to them the way they make the story as real as possible makes you travel with your imagination thanks for the experience and thanks for letting me join you in this amazing journey

Wow just wow

absolutely love this book, I took a little bit of time to get into it but when I was past the first chapter or so and was understanding what was happening I could not stop listening to him. What's a absolute roller coaster when you think you're gonna Zig then it absolutely zags and when you think it's going to sad it was ID all the way to the last sentence of this book I was engaged and on the edge of my suit would hundred percent recommend this one of the best books I have listened to in a very long.

what an ending

ok. I admit. this one took me a long time to finish. the beginning was a little boring so I started listening to something else. then I came back about chapter 4 and I pushed through to listen to it. the middle of the book got a little flat, too much small details and seemed to drag on. it felt as though the writer just added all these details to fill the book. but then. the end!!!!! the end was chilling, twisting and exactly what I like in a book. the whole way through, I thought I had it figured out but nope I was wrong. it's the type of ending you don't see coming. I loved the ending and would listen to it all over again, minus the middle part of the book. you will not be disappointed. the narrators were perfect and done an excellent job

Not my favourite

This is my third Alice Feeney book and unfortunately my least favourite so far. Whilst it was overall enjoyable and intriguing, it just didn’t wow me. The narration was a little bit wonky at times and needed to be sped up quite a lot for my liking, though I thought both narrators did a fairly good job. Despite not being my all time favourite book, rock paper scissors managed to keep my attention and had some genuinely chilling moments which gave me the heebie jeebies. And I’m not usually creeped out by thrillers. If you’re a fan of the author and the genre and can temper your expectations then I’d say it’s worth the credit. But if you’re looking to be blown away then maybe pick something else.

Good for a Long Road Trip

The story kept ticking along, which was great, but a few strange holes in the plot were jarring. I have a form of facial blindness (I struggle to recognise people from their facial features), but it's amazing how well a hair style, clothes choices, voice, gait, and other idiosyncrasies help to identify people. Adam seemed to be a complete washout in this area, bending the truth just too much to be believable ("I have never seen my wife's face." I call absolute rubbish on that one - you learn to recognise the people that you see each day).

Other strange bits stuck out - such as the couple stating they were able to see the road clearly in the middle of a snow storm (by the light of the full moon because there were no street lights, so the story says - BUT THEY IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIERCE SNOW STORM), and the pair seemingly stupid enough to believe their dog had left the accommodation without their knowledge but had also managed to get outside via a locked door and also hadn't made any tracks in the very deep snow. The (plot pivotal) ageing author who was always wearing "his traditional tweed" probably deserved another description at some point too.

Aside from these niggles (they did unfortunately detract from the story instead of allowing it to flow seamlessly) the plot twists were good and the narrators were excellent.

Enjoyed this enormously

One of my favourite narrators is Richard Armitage I would listen to him read the phone book …..if we had phone books
So I will always enjoy the book he is narrating Alice Feeney writes a mean novel. This is great.

Took 2 hours to get good but Twist was worth it!

Took 2 hours to get good, I upped the speed to 2.5x, once it get goes going past 2 hour mark it gets really good, the twist at the end is satisfying but story does have moments of ,,'just get on with it' but when you see the full picture you understand the slow build up and context,
