The phenomenal new thriller from the best-selling author of Sometimes I Lie

Ten years of marriage.

Ten years of secrets.

An anniversary they’ll never forget.

Adam and Amelia are spending the weekend in the Scottish Highlands. The remote location is perfect for what they have planned.

But when their romantic trip takes a dark turn, they both start to wonder - can they trust the one they’re with?

Because every couple tells little white lies. Only for Adam and Amelia, the truth is far more dangerous.

Critic Reviews

"Chilling and clever, with a twist so sharp you’ll get whiplash. Rock Paper Scissors is the kind of blistering one-sit read that Alice Feeney is just so incredibly good at." (Chris Whitaker, author of We Begin at the End)

"Deliciously dark.... An exquisitely constructed, hugely entertaining thriller.... I loved it." (Catherine Ryan Howard, author of The Nothing Man)

"A perfectly-plotted thriller that hooked me from the opening scene.... A scissor-sharp portrayal of a marriage on the rocks. Atmospheric, entertaining and clever." (Philippa East, author of Safe and Sound)

"Not just fiendish but positively Feeneyish - dark, ingenious and very clever." (Cara Hunter, author of Close to Home)

"A cleverly crafted novel with a grand twist." (Stella magazine)

Enjoyed this enormously

One of my favourite narrators is Richard Armitage I would listen to him read the phone book …..if we had phone books
So I will always enjoy the book he is narrating Alice Feeney writes a mean novel. This is great.

A true psychological thriller

The term psychological thriller gets attached to most crime novels these days but this book fits the term perfectly. With its somber atmosphere and slowly developed characters this story carries the same impact as a Hitchcock thriller.

I’ve read Alice Feeny’s other novels and enjoyed them, but this book is in a different class entirely.

Must read

If I would have been able to listen to this book in 1 sitting I would have. I got sucked into the story straightaway and could not wait to figure out what was going on. I did not guess the twists and was quite satisfied with the ending. I listen to about 2 audiobooks per week (same genre) and this one belongs definitely in my top 3 with His and hers by Alice Feeney and The Maidens by Alex Michaelides. Both narrators are amazing, highly recommend. I am sad this is over, it's hard to find really captivating audiobooks.

Spoiled by the female narration

This was a good story if a bit too far fetched but unfortunately the female narration was incredibly awful- Richard Armitage was excellent as usual.

Clever

Really enjoyed the 'unfolding' of this story, cleverly done.
Had no problem at all with the narration and usually that is my 'bugbear'

Awful female narrator. Average story.

The female narrator spoils this. She is by turns conspiratorial and astonished throughout the whole book. Puts me right off. I cringe when she reads.
The story is ok. Bit daft.

Kept Me Guessing

Fabulous narrators - Stephanie Racine and Richard Armitage. A book to rival His & Hers but more twists, more detail, just more of everything I love about Alice Feeney. I knocked off one star because I felt like it could have done with a bigger, more jaw dropping, final twist...I wanted a little more of an OMG moment.

Disappointed in narrator

I love Richard Armitage. Shame he didn’t just read it all. I tried to carry on but unfortunately Stephanie’s reading was jerky and it just wasn’t natural.

I’m glad to see it is being transposed to tv. I will definitely watch it.
