Best yet

The past books Marcus Sloss has written has always left questions that I wanted answers. However, this book brought everything together by the end so that nothing was left to the examination. Well done, I'm hoping for more books like this in the future.

Moves the series forward well

Wes finds himself befriending more gifted and gorgeous women and one male Pirate lord and, together, they conspire to up-end the slaver lords and become a pirate lord himself.. In order to do this, he must first prove himself worthy and so must defeat a monster that has caused ruin to both the High Elf Navy and the pirate lords shipping lanes. This, however, only allows him minimal acceptance into the pirate community. While there is intrigue in the novel, it wasn't very subtle so less captivating.

The mature content is well performed, as was the case in the first novel.

Daniel Wisniewski's performance was improved from that of book 1 in that Marcus Sloss reduced the amount of haughty arrogance from the first book. Rebecca Woods performances were well done.
