Eigentlich ist diese Geschichte eine Oper und Wagner baut sich sogar extra für den "Ring des Nibelungen" ein eigenes Opernhaus. Aber da das Opernhaus noch nicht fertig ist, erzählt Richard Wagner die Handlung eben einfach bei sich daheim, im Salon... Und wenn er am Klavier sitzt und die wunderbare Musik zum Rheingold spielt, dann ist er sich manchmal gar nicht mehr so sicher, ob das mit dem Schatz im Rhein, den drei schönen Nixen, dem hinterhältigen Zwerg, den zwei habgierigen Riesen und den Göttern wirklich nur erfunden ist?
