In 2012 retired South African general Johan Jooste was parachuted into the seemingly unwinnable war against rhino poaching in the Kruger National Park.

With poaching spiralling out of control, Jooste was given the mandate to 'go military', to convert Kruger's ranger corps into a para-military force capable of taking the fight to poachers. And from listening to this book it is very hard to protect rhinos, all the procedures and planning and money that go into protecting rhinos is absurd yet just has to be done. Good narration and story i enjoyed this story and glad they were with a South African accent. Very good book especially if interested in management and wildlife.
