Die kann der junge Haiwandler gut gebrauchen, denn längst nicht alle sind glücklich über seine Anwesenheit. Mit der zwielichtigen Anwältin Lydia Lennox gerät er immer wieder aneinander. Und beim Versuch, den Müllgangstern auf die Spur zu kommen, die Naturschutzgebiete in der Nähe der Schule vergiften, macht er sich auch nicht beliebt. Bei einem Menschenkunde-Ausflug nach Miami spitzt sich die Lage schließlich zu. Als Shari in große Schwierigkeiten gerät, setzt Tiago als Mensch und Hai alles auf eine Karte, um sie und ihre Delfinfreunde zu retten.
