Publisher's Summary

For us Jews who grew up in Israel, Jesus and his word were never part of the conversation. Not in our school system, not in our synagogues, and not in our media. Nor do we have easy access to the New Testament. Jesus has been studiously avoided, and hidden from our people. Today in Israel, 99.7 percent of the Jewish population reject Jesus as the Messiah. How did our country, where the Gospel first took place, come to be so adamantly against it?

Within Judaism over the last two millennia, any kind of spiritual message had to go through the “gatekeepers”, the Orthodox Jewish Rabbis. The Rabbinic Judaism of the Orthodox comes directly from the sect of the “Pharisees”, whom Jesus rebuked:

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.” (Matthew 23:13)

After almost 2,000 years, Jesus, or as we call him in Hebrew, Yeshua, can no longer be hidden from the people! Today, our ministry, One for Israel, reaches Jewish and Arab Israelis exactly where they are - online.

In the past, the message of the Gospel came from people who didn’t understand our language, our culture, our heritage, or our way of thinking. Now, we can explain the Gospel to our people in a way that makes sense to them, in our own native tongues of Hebrew and Arabic, as only Israelis can, and help our people understand who Yeshua really is.

The Orthodox rabbis in Israel operate an “antimissionary” organization called Yad L'Achim. This organization works very closely with the Minister of Interior in the Israeli government. They seek to prevent Jewish people from leaving the confines of Rabbinic Judaism by any means necessary (not always legally) and relentlessly persecute us. With over 90 percent of the names, photos, and addresses of all the Messianic Jews in Israel on file, Yad L’Achim began sending a magazine called Searching to the homes of believers in Israel back in 2014. The magazine contains objections and refutations from Orthodox rabbis about the messiahship of Jesus, the credibility of the New Testament, and trying to ridicule and destroy the belief in Jesus. This caused several Jewish believers, even including some who had been missionaries, to deny their faith in Jesus and revert to rabbinic Judaism.

Over the past five years, I decided to go over all of their magazines, books, and videos in order to answer their arguments and prove their objections false. Since 2015 we have released about 150 short videos where we share the Gospel and directly refute these rabbinic objections to Jesus, the New Testament, and Christianity. This audiobook is a compilation of transcripts from these videos. While the content is based on five years of academic research, I did my best to write it in a simplistic, easy-to-listen-to way.

Jesus is Messiah

Although I am a Gentile, this book clearly outlines the path of Messiah through the Torah and through the prophets. I am so thankful to God that I can now learn even more about my Yeshua in these last days by His Covenant people. As more and more of His chosen people are being freed from the blindness to His great salvation and love, I pray for the mighty success of this book and that it floods the nation of Israel with the truth, softening the hearts and freeing the Holy Spirit to restore the intention of God that Israel would be a light unto the world in revealing the eternal salvation of THE ONE TRUE GOD.

good content. bad recording and editing.

Very poorly edited, mistakes are strewn about every few minutes; however, the content is very good, the author obviously knows what he's talking about. It's just hard to listen to.

The Truth Shall Set You Free

This was an informative and enlightening book that explained a lot about Jewish people and took a lot of courage for a Jewish person to write.
Hopefully, this book can start a movement and help bring the Jewish people out of the dark ages and into the light. This book will empower people to question, examine, research and search for the truth, cut out the “middle man” and create a direct connection with our savior Jesus Christ.
I highly recommend this book and suggest that everyone should read regardless if you are a believer or not.
Thank you, for your efforts! God bless you!

Half polemic, half propaganda.

This book leaves much to be desired. To start off with what's good about it, the content of the arguments is substantial and is worth considering, for both believer and unbeliever alike. What's bad about it, however, eclipses the otherwise good argumentation. The author habitually ends arguments with speculative assertions on the parts of his interlocutors (the Rabbis) concerning their motivations, allegating that they have been conspiring to hide the truth of Jesus from the Jewish people throughout the ages. This claim is huge and requires some actual historical data to substantiate, which the author does not undertake. These alligations paint the authors interlocutors in the worst possible light, which is heavily rhetorical, and doesn't count as an argument, but rather as propaganda. Additionally, the author shamelessly requests 5-star reviews without merit. Why should I give you a good review? That needs to be earned by the quality of the work. This is not a popularity contest. Finally, the clear rush to self-publish resulted in the selection of a reader that is not familiar with the nuances of the Hebrew language where it shows up. The author would benefit next time to hire a reader with some familiarity with Hebrew.

An impressive and well researched book. Will really further your knowledge about the prophetic record in the Bible.

I think the author makes strong arguments-that are logical, based on the Biblical record and come from a genuine desire to spread ‘the truth’.
I really liked the chapter outlining what the ‘Son of God’ means. It can be a difficult concept to fully grasp but the author explained it simply, but not simplistically. There’s an in-depth look at Isaiah 53 (as you’d expect). And a beautiful description of Isaiah 9:6 as well as so much more.
Narration was good.
There may be push back against the book. But I think it’s a balanced book, which appears to represent opponents of the messianic movement fairly and simply gives the listener space to decide. So overall, I’ve been very impressed.

Marvellous

Well written and concise exploration of Jesus, the Jewish Messiah, in Old Testament prophecy.

Including how the Jewish Messiah was described in historic Jewish teaching and how that was changed over time to try and eliminate and ignore the clear link to Jesus of Nazareth. This included changing the letters of their actual bible text (Masoretic text) to eliminate the prophetic link - fortunately the far older dead see scrolls texts restores the true prophecy, which was clearly fulfilled by Jesus. Also, missing out chapters from synagogue readings.

Powerful stuff and it’s exciting that this material is available now via the internet.

It’s a good audio book, I also bought the kindle version and the paperback as it’s worthy of serious study.
