I really enjoy Fiona Quinn‘s series, her attention to detail and character development is great. unfortunately I found the ending of this one rushed. The story ends suddenly on a cliffhanger of sorts and then the prologue is set two years later. I found that quite jarring since the pace is very fast up until that point. The narration is great.

well as always I got all the intrigue and action i could ask for . the different countries and the depth of descriptive culture is as always, with Ms Quinn, perfection.
I'm still a huge fan of her Lynx series as I find the mixing of her vast knowledge along with action, suspense and romance is my preference.
in this book the romance is skipped completely and a lot of "reading between the lines " is required.
and,then there is the final twist that , for me was wonderfully out of character, hence a different writing style.
I held me breath and had to wait.... no spoilers.....
