Publisher's Summary

“I love being naked. Naked is awesome.” (Cooper Miles)

For Cooper Miles, life used to be an endless party. He worked hard and played harder - as often as possible. But things change - people change - and lately, the party life isn’t doing it for him.

Enter Amelia Hale. Cooper doesn’t see her coming. But it isn’t every day you meet a girl in a wedding dress in a bar - a girl whose life just took a sharp left turn she wasn’t expecting.

Kissing her is totally no big deal. She’s had one hell of a day, and a little kissing lesson by Cooper is bound to make her feel better. The invitation back to her hotel, however...that, he wasn’t expecting.

Saying "Yes" to her is reckless. Not because he’s a stranger to a one-night stand. And not because she’s in a wedding dress, and the words this is my first time cross her lips.

It’s reckless because she makes him feel things he’s never felt before - big things. Nothing scares Cooper Miles. But this girl? She might be magic, and he has no idea what to do with that.

Author’s note: Cooper Miles. He’s sexy, hilarious, and deeper than you think. This former playboy has a heart as big as his personality, and when he finally falls in love, he falls hard.

The Miles Family series is best enjoyed in order.

well this was a surprise

I wasn't sure where the story of this goofball manchild would lead. he positively sounded like he has ADD. it was a nice mix of angst regarding dear old dad and a hyperactive crazy wonderful man being hit over the head with love. it happened with chase and he's his bestie and they're a lot alike....in regards to thinking Cooper thoughts.....so it added to the plot to have him fall hard and fast, and seeing Cooper does everything BIG that wasn't a shocker. some funny antidotes that had me laughing and i still enjoy hearing about the family. now at last I get to hear of leo. I hope Ms Kingsley can pull this one off as I think it's going to need depth, especially for the way Leo's background has been shaped.

Cooper and his Cookie

Overall 4 stars Performance 5 stars Story 3.5-4 stars Reckless Miles was a great romcom! It had me laughing out loud plenty of times as playboy Cooper Miles finally finds love. The premise was a fun one, featuring jilted bride, Amelia, and an interesting meet cute. She was a great complement to Cooper and I loved that she "spoke Cooper". Her character grew through the course of the book and I appreciated that she took the time to determine what she wanted and not what fell in her lap or what others wanted for her. These two were really sweet and sexy together and though I'm not normally a fan of the virgin trope or instalove, this one worked pretty well. Committed boyfriend Cooper was a sight to see and I loved that he did it in a way that only Cooper could. Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum were fantastic as Cooper and Amelia and I loved the cameo by John Lane as Ben. They all gave such emotional performances, but they also had perfect comedic timing. Stephen Dexter was especially amazing and showed his versatility voicing both male and female characters with ease. Fans of the series also get more updates on the other Miles family members as well as some drama thanks to papa Miles. There isn't a whole lot of angst in this one (a little OW drama and a brief push away) and I liked that the conflict was more internal. The time jump in the epilogue was a surprise, as was the POV of the bonus epilogue, but it only has me more excited to see what's next for Leo, Shannon, and Ben. This is book 3 in the Miles family series and can be read/listened to as a standalone, but it would be much more enjoyable if read in order.

Cooper Miles is the BEST!

First I have to say Cooper Miles is one of my all-time favorite fictional characters. So whoever did the voice acting was going to have big fictional shoes to fill. Stephen Dexter did that. He brought all the Cooperisms to life and did not disappoint portraying one of my favorite Miles family members. You need to read/listen to the rest of this outstanding series to get all the goodness that is the Miles family.

Cooper and Cookie have been my faves for a long time. Cooper just holds a special place in my heart, and the way he loves Cookie. Swoon. The story was brought to life in the audio and I find myself listening to it a lot when I need some happy.

Recklessly Perfect!

The third book of the Miles Family series does not disappoint. A jilted virgin bride walks into a bar... Amelia has always been the obedient daughter - went to the proper schools, learned social graces, from a monied family moving in the correct social circles. About to walk down the aisle to marry her lifelong friend from the same social circle - until the groom doesn't show in a quite scandalous manner! Cooper was always the family clown, the youngest brother, the playboy. Then his siblings start settling down, starting families, leaving him feeling a little adrift. He goes to the neighborhood bar and starts telling his story to the person sitting on the barstool next to him not noticing that she is in her wedding dress. The attraction between them is immediate and the jilted bride makes him a proposition he can't turn down - to be the man who rid her of her virginity. Cooper and Amelia are inseparable. The "wild child" meets the woman who doesn't try to tame him but actually "gets" him and loves him for who he is. Amelia grounds Cooper and Cooper helps Amelia to discover her true self. There are many bumps along the way including the series-arcing story of the duplicity of the family patriarch, Lawrence Miles, and how it affects each sibling. The narrators were perfectly cast for this book. Stephen Dexter and Desires Ketchum were amazing in their roles and voiced the secondary characters in such a way that switching to them or voicing the opposite sex main character did not take you out of the story because the transition was done smoothly. The epilogue chapter, voiced by John Lane as Ben, was a pleasant surprise and makes me look forward to hearing him in Ben's book. I highly recommend this audiobook!
