This book isn't as good as the first book in my opinion. It was a bit drawn out with an anticlimactic ending. I will still get the next book, I just hope it is more exciting. The first book was fabulous

First time reading it was underwhelming, strangely, but the second time, when there was less focus on the storyline and it’s ending (which I’m still not happy about, Lauren. Lol) - there is so much focus on Kai’s poetic mind and… it’s beautiful. The book is mesmerising, and exciting. The banter was great the first and second time reading, the adventure was ok, but the beauty was in the poetry. A soulful read, made me stop and rewind often, just to hear it again and again. Pause-worthy.
The audio narration was perfection.
The ending still made me want to throw a heavy object. April… where are you.

Ahhhhh this was SO GOOD!
I savored every word spoken between Paedyn and Kai, the tension had my stomach in knots.
There was so much emotion,delivered in this second installment, it had every fiber of my being completely enthralled.
Again, I have to say… this is enemies to lovers done right.
I’m a sucker for high tension angst between my characters and Lauren Roberts craftily, delivered… immaculately.
Her writing is just *chefs kiss* 🤌🏽
Now I’m going to go cry in my pillow until book 3 releases.

I loved the travel and drama between Kai and pae, I loved all the fake pretends and what led to be. I loved every bit of what become of this story, there is nothing I did not like about listening to this incredible story unfold.

Ahhhh i loved this, but hate that i have to wait 5weeks for the next one! The end had me completely shocked! The only thing is i wished it was in duet narration but regardless it was 5stars for me!

This was a great second instalment!!!!!
I could not put it down!!
The end left me reeling!!!
I am kind of dreading the love triangle of the next book!!
But cannot wait to find out what happens!!
I did find some points VERY repetitive! But for a YA novel the slow burn was addictive!
If you love one bed trope, enemies to lovers, love triangle, and to be left hanging!!! Then this is the series for you!
