Publisher's Summary

Gordo Livingstone never forgot the lessons carved into his skin. Hardened by the betrayal of a pack who left him behind, he sought solace in the garage in his tiny mountain town, vowing never again to involve himself in the affairs of wolves.

It should have been enough.

And it was, until the wolves came back, and with them, Mark Bennett. In the end, they faced the beast together as a pack...and won.

Now, a year later, Gordo has found himself once again the witch of the Bennett pack. Green Creek has settled after the death of Richard Collins, and Gordo constantly struggles to ignore Mark and the song that howls between them.

But time is running out. Something is coming. And this time, it’s crawling from within.

Some bonds, no matter how strong, were made to be broken.

As good as it gets

Just finished listening to Ravensong and was not disappointed. Will begin my second listen in a few hours. As this is a long book and I'm impatient, I listened the first time with no breaks. I did fall asleep as it is long but having read the book I was able to pick up the storyline easily. This next time I will take breaks when feeling tired. TJ Klune captures the characters of this world and is true and consistent with each one. He spends a remarkable story of friend, family, and why you should surround yourself with your own made family either by relation of blood or by bond. Kirt Graves is one of my favorite narrators. I have listen to all the books he has graced us with his voice. When TJ completes the 3rd book I hope he sticks with Kirt as the narrator. It would be a shame and disservice to his fans if he doesn't. I'm not a believer in rehashing the story beyond the editors notes and sometimes it does the book a disadvantage in doing so. My recommendation is to read the books in order beginning with Wolfsong then Ravensong. Then listen to both.

Top notch

Perfect definition of a sequel. I actually like this book better than the first. The first had some parts that dragged, but this one just flows. It does well complementing and advancing the overall story. Can't wait for the next!

ANOTHER HOME RUN!!!

This series continues to leave me speechless. Every time I think it couldn’t possibly get better TJ surprises me yet again! Never has a series resonated with me the way this one does. I feel like I’m personal friends with each of the characters that TJ has created and let’s not forget Kirt! If I could give him more than 5 stars I would! He does an amazing job of bringing each character to life. I feel as though I just watched a movie not read a book! I’m so excited for the next installment! Bravo TJ! Bravo!

Simply superb!!

This book is chalk full of every emotion possible!! There’s laughter, love, anguish, anger and so much more. Ravensong is definitely more darker and angstier than Wolfsong but Gordo is older and way more jaded than Ox will ever be. Kirt did another amazing job with this narration!!

gordoooo!!!!

"Once the Moon had loved the Sun. Once there was a boy. Once there was a wolf. " Gordo Livingston. Ravensong

P.s if you haven't listened to wolfsong go and just do that.

Narrator score🎧 : what can I say about a person like that one? Kirt is one of the best melodramatic narrators there is! he's a genius that just put a spell on your soul and your heart.... every string was pulled in the precise moment.... when I read the book I did cry... (I'm only human) but when I heard the book I subbed like a child. The voices of children, of adults. He's spectacular!

Level of steam🔥: ok ...you have 20 hours of book and one steamy scene! but what a scorching moment... believe me you will not think about it much... it was hot but it wasn't the main factor... I'm thinking about this moment as "finally...."

Level of anxiety sadness and pain 😥: embrace yourself dear people... it's not an easy book...but you can't say "I don't want to read it because it's so painful" because it's so beautiful .... with so much sarcasm that you just can't say 'no' to this book... because it's Gordo and freaking Gordo and mark and Ricco ever the perfect Ricco... (team human for life) and still a lot of ox and Joe in it .

About the author ✒: ok ... I had to write about TJ ....I think (and of course it's my opinion but) I think that everyone knows that when Tj wants us to laugh we will laugh.... no matter how sad you felt 20 seconds ago ... it will be full of tears.. but you will still laugh ...that kind talent is something else... I love a lot of authors, a lot of creators and storytellers.... but I do have a special place in my heart with the name of TJ on it....

The book itself📖: okay I don't know if you remember ....that when I wrote about "Wolfsong" ....I told you that I felt that "Wolfsong" was like very heavy but very precious stone.... it was a diamond a very expensive one... and you feel that you need to hold it and take care of it.... until you will reach the destination and keep it safe.... but Gordo?! Gordo isn't epic and awesome.... he's darker and more precious.... I think that even in "Wolfsong" I loved Gordo the most.... his story is the most unfair but beautiful story ever told... of course I'm waiting for the next book.... we need to know what will happen but, I think( and maybe I'm wrong ....and maybe I will change my mind) that Gordo will be my beloved one... yes he's an a**h*le the biggest of all... but he deserves to be... and of course we have Mark... I love him I seriously do... I did blame him a lot in the book but, I think he didn't have any choice on the matter...of course I will not tell you spoilers but again if you haven't listened or read "Wolfsong" You Can't read "Ravensong" and understand the book... yes the book is about another character but, the connection between Ox and Gordo is infallible... you need to understand "pine cones" to understand "Dirt and Leafs...." for those who read knows what I'm talking about... for those who didn't do yourself a big big favor and listen to those books...
