Must read for all bar & restaurant owners

Excellent detailed instructions on how to improve your establishment. The only thing I was disappointed with was that Jon Taffer didn't narrate the audio book.

Wish Jon was the narrator!!

I'm a hospitality "life-er" and really enjoy Jon's show Bar Rescue, but found the narrator STIFF! Don't get me wrong, the narrator showed emotion but...Come On! This woulda been 5 stars all around if Jon read this! It's missing why he's such a likeable steamroller! His distinctive/badass NY accent, his sassy attitude, the fact you can hear him salivating when he lays into some dumdum bar owner who is resisting change and in denial-he is a character! Though the book is great, full of pertinent stories and useful information, I'm just sad that he delegated the job of narrator to an anybody, when why I enjoy his show and purchased this book was because I enjoy him! This seems to be recurring issue with audiobooks. Makes listening lack-luster.

Great tips for Bar owners and managers

Regarding your experiences is nice to hear more experienced bar manager tips. i have been aroun 15 years now. and some things I jeard on this audiobook were very usefull

Waste of time, a few useful tidbits

I would not recommend this book to anyone in the bar or restaurant industry. If you like to listen to someone constantly tell you how smart they are and how stupid others are, this is the book for you. If you're looking for actionable advice, you'll find a few tidbits if you take the time to listen through the noise.

a great listen!

I wish Jon Taffer actually narrated it but still really interesting! This Is a good book for anyone in business or people who oversee systems or personnel.

Eye opening

I picked this up on a whim with my KU Subscription. I'd always loved Bar Rescue and didn't know Jon had Written a book. I wasn't expecting to get a business lesson as well as a look into the bar business! Even though this book does focus on the hospitality industry, some of the stuff can be implemented into your own business, no matter what it is!

Great customer experience book

This book gives you really practical examples of how to improve customer experience not only in restaurants and bar business, but for any industry.
The concept of reaction management is a great idea for setting goals of how to improve your business for clients and employes.

Content was Great!

Definitely disappointed it wasn't read by Jon Taffer

Luke does a great performance but Taffer's voice is so unique and iconic.

The science of bars (and good business!)

I’m not in the hospitality industry, nor do I want to be, but this was a brilliant book which opened my eyes of the science behind making money in bars. From the lighting to the pricing structure, Jon doesn’t share opinions - he shares facts! A book filled with data and true stories to back up what he’s saying, Raise The Bar is a fantastic read for anyone interested in business, customer service and ultimately making money!
