Great book
Please use Americans to do characters from USA. The British attempt at an American accent does not work.

Lovely story
A lovely story unfortunately I found the narrator’s performance difficult to listen to. The narration is very poor, stilted and ragged.

Change of cast
This is the third book in the series that I have listened to, unfortunately it was just like all new actors in your favorite soap. Mini had developed a speech impediment, Mr Marco a very strong European accent, Rachel sounded completely different. I know it must be difficult with different accents, but it was such a different listening experience

Enough with the character voices!
The story is a pleasant diversion, although it won't win prizes for being a work of literary genius.
The narrator, however, almost caused me to abandon it. The voices she put on for each character were grating, especially the one with the speech impediment, and the English-Italian window dresser. Just horrible.

Narrator
Why change the narrator mid series? I’ve struggled with the last 2 books & only continuing because the story is so good.

Grating
The reading performance has been the worst I ever encountered. Squeeky Voice for most young people. A mockery. Hurt my ears.

I loved the continuation and development of the story .
I found the narrator in this book the third in the series spoilt the listening as the voices were badly portrayed, l am hoping the next book will sound more like the first two .

Accents cringeworthy
This is a predictable tale and one expects no more but the performance was, in part unbearable. The Italian window dresser was given an inaccurate and over exaggerated accent and that was bad enough. The poor Ms Minnie who “embwoidered dwesses and was a fwend of Wachel, weally was given a wetter persona than a dwowned drunken Dwug deawer” Sewiously bwoody unbeawable. Please don’t allow this to happen again. It is insulting!!!!

Great book but not the right narrator
Rosie’s book was as always a great story. Unfortunately Polly Edsell wasn’t the right narrator. Juliette Burton did a great job and managed the age appropriate voices much more skilfully.
I agree with another reviewer who complained about Rachel, a middle aged character being given the voice of an 18 year old.
At one point all the characters had the same voice. The pauses between sentences weren’t always done at the right time and sentences were cut in 2 . Voice tone was harmonious and easy to listen to but the general capture of the book and its characters wasn’t there. My feeling was that the narrator either hadn’t read the book beforehand or just wasn’t able to relate to the characters.
I hope in her next book if there is one, that Rosie will chose Juliette Burton again.
