Small towns are definitely not for me. The understanding was that I would one day return to Chamberlin, California. What my father didn't count on was that once he sent me away, I would never come back - at least not until he was gone.

Storyline was good, as it's about after he's gone, but I don't know how she could of ever worked for the family business, with the dad, the head of that family, after he did what he did all those years ago .... which you eventually find out!!! Really enjoyed both narrators.

Male lead is selfish, female lead is a doormat, The final twist could be seen coming in beginning chapters and there was so much unresolved and not discussed.
