About this listen
When an illegal underground fight leaves my brother in the hospital, I make a desperate deal to save his life: I volunteer to fight in his place. In 30 days, I've got to walk into the ring, a woman in a man's world - and I've never even thrown a punch. I have one chance to survive. I need a badass who can teach me to be as tough as him. I need Aedan O'Harra, the blue-eyed, Irish beast of a man whom everyone fears.
But training together means getting close. Every touch of his hands makes it harder to control my feelings. I begin to see the man inside him, the one no one else can. Can I help him break free of the dark secrets that haunt him, and can we save each other, or will we both be defeated?

It has a good pace and although the amount of time the h needed for her predicament was a bit far fetched ..( I'd think you'd need more) it clung to some semblance of "doable"
the steam was just that!!!! Steam with a capital H for hot and capital S for steam!.
The description of the H was easy to envision and although they were virtually polar opposites it didn't detract from the 2 being a couple.
I think what also gave this an edge was the Irish accent. oh lordy, not only was he a broken bad ass he had the accent!. who could resist that? obviously not the h.
The baddie was ruthless and Helena wrote some grit Into those byplays that sorta had me cringe but I was ultimately wondering how she was going to get these characters out of their dilemma.
I didn't see it coming until It was right on top of me.
the only negative thing to say is the ending seemed rushed.
one second the plan was starting to develop and the next it was over. the emotional dialogue from chapter 1 with the H all but disappeared..I thought the situation deserved the heart ache he surely felt during and after.
a few holes started to appear at the very end. I thought the h would be out of the picture by then as danger still lurked.
anyway all in all, I liked it the concept. It wasn't corny at all and a clever idea. just wish there was more descriptive emotion from all characters at the end.
Christian does a stellar job with the accent and Lucy is always great, she did well with the Irish brogue as well when it came to her turn.
a nice little suprise
