What???

This has to be the worst book ever. Stupid is putting it mildly. I gave it 5 hours but I can’t take anymore. Don’t believe the good reviews. This book is a waste of time.

Good, but agravating

Wonderful story in all and well written. I did however find it aggravating to listen as Kit and Cole's relationship develops throughout the book. It made it difficult to relax and enjoy the story. A bit of up and down is necessary, but this took it to another level of frusteration.

Not bad...except for the narrator

The storyline is pretty good!
The narrators voice and intonation was less than perfect. She sounds out of breath and too intense throughout.
I enjoyed the tale so tolerated it.
Try the sample before you purchase it.

Private relations

This had a difficult story line. The narration was in need of help. I usually enjoy this author, but I don't know what happened with this.

Doctor Dumbo

The premise for Private Relations sounded promising but the execution was seriously disappointing. The diverse group of friends who shared a huge shore house were over 30 and educated yet acted like immature, selfish brats. It was like listening to a really bad reality show...

Doctor Cole was in a bizarrely abusive relationships with both his sociopath girlfriend and his manipulative family. Instead of breaking up with the violent bitch (can't remember her name), Cole flirted with newcomer Kit who was also his patient and co-worker. I stopped listening when they had unprotected sex - seriously stupid for 2 adults who work in healthcare.

The Cover Made Me Listen

What did you love best about Private Relations?

I loved Karen White's voice so so much, I know the book cover pulled me in immediately. such a great read/listen.

What other book might you compare Private Relations to and why?

I always run or think of Debbie Macomber's books immediately. Not sure why? ( ;

Which scene was your favorite?

what is not to love ... so many to pick from.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Not so PRIVATE, huh?

Any additional comments?

narrator puts me to sleep

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I would have enjoyed this book much more with a different narrator.

Would you be willing to try another one of Karen White’s performances?

no

Any additional comments?

Story was good, narrator bad

Very disappointed in one of my favorite authors!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

great start...good characters....but storyline was not realistic...smart people were made to act dumb...most of it was very sad...plus should have been a sequel instead of throwing 25 yrs into the epilogue
