Publisher's Summary

Sometimes, a fox is not a fox, and a man is not what he seems.

When Lachlan, the golden prince of faeries, is transformed into a fox and banished from the forest on the eve of his mother’s funeral, the last creature he expects to seek help from is a human.

But Sorcha Darrow is not so easily enchanted by the wily faerie. Only after discovering her father means to marry her to a wealthy Londoner does she decide to help him, seeking the power of a being even Lachlan is wary of: a kelpie. In finding one, Sorcha hopes that she may just avoid her own dire fate in the process.

With Sorcha’s dreams being their only true form of communication, Lachlan has to race against time to break his curse and take his place as king before he’s doomed to live as a fox forever.

But someone else is after the throne, and may just use Sorcha’s growing connection to Lachlan to reach it.

The first book in the stunning Bright Spear trilogy,  Prince of Foxes is loosely based on the Celtic fairy tale of "Gold-Tree and Silver-Tree" and features a cameo from Julian and Evie from The Tower Without a Door, book three in Chronicles of Curses.

Note: Prince of Foxes is written in UK (British) English, not American English.

Quite the tail to tell ;)

A bit risqué, but a fun irish fable even so. The lochs meet the seely and unseely and of course the humans in the middle get hurt. A fun tale of magic and intrigue.

Excellent Book

I know I should know more about the Prince of Faeries but I didn't especially that I'm Irish. This book is about a girl who doesn't want to marry Sorcha Darrow. She meets up with Lachlan the Prince of Faeries. I don't want to tell you the story you should definitely read or listen to this book. I can't wait to listen to the next in the series.

Fantastic Scottish Fae Story for +18 Readers

I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait to see where it goes in book two. This is very much a romance although with nudity and lots of build up scenes, but the author does eventually close the bedroom door. So as a parent I would definitely recommend as an +18 reader series. I loved the tale of the fae Prince being turned into a fox and getting help from a human girl who has been betrothed to a stranger. There's an unusual love triangle that forms as they hunt for a kelpie to help break the Prince's curse.

The narrator does a great job and with his rich accent was a lot of fun to listen to. Even more impressive he sings at different times in the story and does a decent job at it.

What a great story

Poor Lachlan being turned into a fox & betrayed by his family. It was a good thing for him that Socra's father tried to marry her off and caused her to run away. That is when their friendship really began. Socra was smart enough to not give him her real name so he could not enchant her. She decided to help him. Their journey was full of danger, trust & deception. I loved this story and am 1/2 way through the second one. Also loved the narrator.

Magical

A magical story full of fairy mischief and trickery. Enjoyable characters and good world building. I especially enjoyed the kelpie and look forward to hearing more of his story in the next book. I received a free copy for review.

Excellent 5 Star Book & Narrator!

So I’m trying not to swoon!
The narrator has a Scottish accent! Lately I’ve listened to audiobooks where the narrator try’s to sing a song.
He doesn’t “try” to sing! I truly enjoyed his singing.
I had to listen a couple of times just because it was my duty, yeah that’s it! 😁
This is a fantastic book, the narrator is amazing! I am buying the next book, I don’t want the story to end. Clara, her Sealy Prince and the one I won’t name. I don’t want the ruin the book or give clues!!
It’s an excellent book with twists you don’t see coming!
This book I will treasure and listen to again and again!

CUNNING OF THE PRINCE FOX

LOCHLAN IS THE SEELIE PRINCE OF FAIRIES, GRIEVED BY THE DEATH OF HIS MOTHRR THE QUEEN HE LEAVES AND GOES LOOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO ENTERTAIN HIMSELF WITH TO DOSTRACT HIMSELF FROM HIS GRIEF. THERE ARE SEVERAL SCENES WITH UNDRESSING. BUT NO ACTUAL SCENES, THE NARRATOR WAS DYNAMIC! HE BROUGHT ALL THE CHARACTERS TO LIFE! I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS STORY DOR 17 AND UP.
