Publisher's Summary

In a world full of superheroes, be a power gamer.

Everyone has a superpower, even Sam. The thing is, Sam has a power unlike anyone else. He can level up.

That might not seem like much, but when everything from doing dishes to thwarting robberies gains you experience, Sam has finally found a way to become the most powerful hero the world has ever seen.

And it’s a good thing, too, because the world’s most powerful villain has come back from beyond the grave, and if death didn't stop him, what can anyone else do to stop him?

And Sam? Well, he doesn’t stand a chance right now, either, but if he can level up just a bit more...anything is possible.

Warning: This book contains awesome superpowers, sexy women, sex scenes, explosions, crazy power leveling, and the ability to become the strongest person the universe has ever seen. That’s right, we said universe.

interesting take on sup's

I enjoyed the world. The "erotic" scenes are boring though and I just skip them. It's like two different stories mashed together. I really wish litrpg writers would stop with the harem nonsense. So many stories ruined with poorly written erotica.

Good book - looking forward to the next one

Overall this was a good book. It has a dynamic storyline with relatable support characters and MC. The overall narration was solid. If I had to be picky about anything it is the dynamics of individual character voice. Despite that the editor/editors did a great job at tying the sound segments together to feed a story with natural breaks. I look forward to the day and time when Simon Archer releases the following books in this series to audible. I own some 550 literpg/fantasy audiobooks several of which are written by Simon Archer and this book by story alone puts it in my top fifty favorites. Thank you for a good listen.

A bit generic and light

A good enough listen, however both the story, mechanics and love interests are all a bit too shallow. Everything too easy, even the mechanics are without conflict. I.e the ability to change them willy nilly. If you're looking for a Boxy holdover this is not it. If you want a popcorn style story its okay.

Cool book

Not the greatest but it was cool. MC isn’t a push over and uses his brain and all his skills.

Not bad but just a little lame

This book kind of reminded me of one of those porn movies that is a parody off a famous and very successful movie. Solo Leveling is an excellent story written by a Korean author years ago. This story is somewhat of a pornographic rip off of that story. Despite this fact the story is not bad put the writing is very simplistic and the main character is not the most likable guy. He gets up the courage to ask out the girl he’s been falling for out on a date and a short time later he begins to seduce another beautiful woman he meets without even remotely thinking of the previous girl crossing his mind. He then moves onto the next beautiful woman he meets again without thinking about the previous two. But like any good porn movie the girls he finds out really don’t mind. Honestly I would never have finish this novel if it wasn’t for the fact I really enjoyed this story concept.

interesting story

interesting story but the dialogue is very unbelievable. it's actions in the realism behind his actions don't make too much sense. the interactions between him and the women don't make too much sense but I guess that's author's interpretation. the realism behind criminals crime and action and effect are skewed to the point of which we will question their purpose of them in the book other than to make the main character more Op.

Good book but as a few issues

I enjoyed the book but there were some real cringe moments that made me take one star off. I will still check out the next book but hopefully there are less cringe moments.

Pure wish fulfillment with no substance.

The book starts out decently, then goes down hill fast. The main character starts as a nothing and suddenly after an accidental victory over a criminal turns into a "hero". The MC is immediately bestowed with plot armor, which prevents him from failing at anything. From there, it's accidental victory after accidental victory, with predictable twists, terribly clichéd pick-up lines, and badly written sex scenes (one must wonder if the author has ever experienced it - they're that badly written). I regret wasting my credit on this book.

This is not very good

It has a guy who literally sees the world in gold and black. He wants to be a hero. The women are his conquests and lack any defining personality.

He is unmotivated dumb and trusts 'authority' implicitly like horrible organisations that hunt people they can't catalogue.

This was appantly Simon Archers 'Best work' but I promise it Is the worst I have come across lacking plot, A MC with a brain and any reasonable character development not to mention how insanely naive the MC is.
