Be Free from Shame

This book is very well written and it follows the principles of God in bringing healing from the addition of pornography. As far as that is concerned it would bring healing from any addiction .I would highly recommend this book.

What my daughter learned from this book:

My feeling brain makes me thirsty and decide what to eat and also rewards me for what I do right. But if I start to do pornography my feeling brain might start to reward me for it. But if I’m smart enough to not feel rewarded then my feeling brain will make me feel bad for looking at pornography.

Good book.

It's clear that she has lived through the experience herself and she describes all the emotions to a "T." She also pointed out some behaviors I didn't realize were related, but now I see that they are. A real eye opener. Through tears, I was saying "Yes!, yes!, yes! that's exactly it."

Helpful techniques and interesting stories.

Figuring out how to change the way your stuck on isn't simple yet when you have wound up in a sorry situation as I did this book helped me restore a way I could pursue and fix my dependence, despite everything I had directing to oblige my perusing, yet the book gave me supportive strides to recapture control, at first I was doubter, however as I moved in the direction of my objectives I found the activities extremely valuable for when I would begin to slip. In the event that your scanning for assistance this book is a decent spot to begin

Pseudo Science Magic-Healing-Crystals

This book was fine, Until Chapter 13 where the author started to talk about Pseudo Science Magic-Healing-Crystals, trying to peach to his listeners to buy crystals, It is completely ridiculous, People come to these books for scientific researches to improve their lives, usually their brain are unhealthy from porn consumption, this book is trying to tell addicts to switch one addiction with another instead of healing themselves, WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

This is a great start.

This book isn't very clinical, it is practical with useful tools and interventions provided throughout. It's great to read a book like this since those struggling with sexual addiction often do not know where to turn for help. This is a great start.

This book is tough and necessary

This book is tough and necessary. It explains the real-life effect the modern world of porn is having upon males the world over.

Chapter 1 lays to rest the comforting lie that "modern porn is harmless". Evidence is provided for the range of effects modern porn has upon males. These range from "reduced grey matter in the brain", "no interest in real women", social isolation, actual mental health issues and rates of Erectile Disfunction in modern young men similar to those of men over 60 in previous generations. After reading this book, I am going to be having some very serious and strong conversations with a few younger men in the extended family. Poor them...

Waffle & poor understanding. Your Brain On Porn far better

I was looking for another source on the topic after Your Brain On Porn but this book has a lot waffle doesn’t explain the details & poor structure.

Your Brain On Porn builds up the detailed picture on what’s it’s doing to you that makes the addiction stop. It also for more interesting with personal accounts that make realise your far from alone & put it into context. That gives a reality check to stop. This book doesn’t do any those things.

Not great, but its all we have

The first thing that struck me listening to this book was the narration was difficult to listen to. The read spoke quickly and energetically, with the same tone of voice you might hear on one of those american infomercials.

There were some moments when i felt the writer does actually know the subject and in those moments the book went beyond the usual advice and information you find on any addiction awareness website and gave some insightful information.

But overall it was short and i didnt find it really gave me any satisfying help. As other reviewers have pointed out the inclusion of a "bonus" chapter about how to create good habits in the final chapter was just bizzare and Id love to know why the author felt that should be included in a book about porn addictiom.

As of 2021 there is still a serious lack of material on this subject. This is one of the highest rated books after Gary Willsons brain on porn. This book actually does mention the growing damger in the rise of porn addiction with todays children growing up with easy access to it.

Sadly , its slow to be recognised as even
a legitimate addiction it seems

It was OK. Some helpful tips and good parts..But..

Got some really helpful advice about the importance of a healthy attitude towards addiction. Some practical tips etc.

But THE LAST TWO Chapters.. No joke.. We're about Earning money.. And losing weight. The publishers used this as a marketing opportunity.
So off topic and incredulous. Made me think the author didn't care about the reader. So random. So weird. Get what you need from the 4 or so useful chapters. But honestly there was no need to add a chapter about forming habits about making money and how to lose weight. They didnt even end the addiction it just went straight into earning money. So random.

Great book as long as it sticks to its theme

Up until like the 10th chapter this book is fantastic. I am not saying it is bad afterwards, it is that it's jumping to a different theme which I was uninterested in. Anyway, greatly recommended

Enlightening stuff.

Enlightening stuff. A must read for the majority of the world struggling with the elephant in the room that is the rife addiction to Internet porn. This book leaves no stone unturned and gives a very deep but highly readable insight into the detriments of porn addiction.

Complete Guide to Porn Addiction

I think this is a tremendous book. Very clearly written - and not without a degree of (totally appropriate) humour. Also gave me an enormous amount of hope. Maybe it was the moment that I read it that mattered. In any case, it suddenly became absolutely clear to me why I act out, and why I need to stop acting out. And I could do so with optimism, rather than the slightly grey sense of this being something that I "should" stop.

Practical tips on how to declutter. It won’t convince you to do it, but once you are convinced, it is a helpful book to get you started.
