I've been meaning to learn Tagalog for years. Been putting it off because it just seemed too complicated and other books didn't explain the grammar structure but rather seemed to just teach vocabulary. I really like this Pimsleur method. You start to understand the grammar structure by gradual changes in the sentence. I like how they repeat phrases at certain intermissions to ensure you retain the phrase in your memory. They explain the method at the beginning and it makes a lot of sense. Most of all, it actually works for me. It's a simple and effective method. Now after just a short week, I can say a few useful phrases. I'm excited to go back to the Philippines and practise with my relatives.

Simple and effective method - highly recommend!!!

Wow I never thought I'd actually learn to speak another language. Only 30mins a day so I play while driving to work and it's working! I am up to unit 6 and can already say so much. I have gone from not understanding anything my partners family are talking about to understanding. The fact that you have to do it everyday keeps you remembering everything and 30mins a day is an easy commitment. If I haven't felt confident on a lesson I just do it again the next day. I am only up to lesson 6 and already can say so much. This is by far the most effective language learning method I have ever tried and I have tried to learn many languages. Highly worth it if you are serious

I'm actually learning
