Publisher's Summary

Missing Pieces series, book two

Justin's recovery is slow, but any step forward is a win in Dallas' eyes. Having always been a source of strength for Justin, even before the accident, Dallas is trying to find his feet again as he struggles to get some normalcy back in their lives.

But now, with added financial pressures and Justin's ongoing medical needs, Dallas isn't sure how much longer he can be the strong one.

As missing pieces of Justin's memory return, Justin realizes the physical side of their relationship is another piece of the puzzle he desperately wants to put back together. And as he gets to know Dallas all over again, he realizes what his mind can't remember, his heart can't forget.

A brilliant second book in the series

The second instalment of this wonderful series delves deeper into the fragile relationship between Justin and Dallas. We begin to see a deeper connection between the two as they continue on the journey of discovery (or rediscovery) together.  It’s a beautiful transition from virtual strangers (well, Dallas is a stranger to Justin anyway) to becoming close and forming trust and a solid bond. The journey is not without issues or complications and real life gets in the way. As a reader, this book sucks me into their world and has me riding the rollercoaster along with these sweet and adorable men.
NR Walker has a wonderful talent for creating such vivid characters who feel so real and their flawed perfection (yep – I just made that a thing) is so disarmingly sweet and endearing that you salivate between pages. I read this book in two sittings and after making myself stop at 2am, I woke up the next morning thinking about the characters and what they were going to face next.  That, my friends is the mark of true reader engagement and I already know that this series will become another favourite re-read when it’s finished and will rank alongside her other classics such as Spencer Cohen, Red Dirt Heart and Imago.  The standout with this series though is the unique element of an established couple who rediscover each other – only such a talented writer could create such a dynamic tale in a static setting. This is a brilliant read and you really should ‘do yourself a favour’ and get stuck into it.
Glen Lloyd's audio narration is superb and really brings the characters to life.
