The narrator was perfect in my opinion. The audio is perfect. I hope to find others good as this one

This narrators voice is so easy to listen to and his character voices are so good. I think he could make any book bearable. But non the less this is a very interesting story, but gets a little lost at the end.

Second time I read this book and still amazing!

First time I read it was on paper and became one of my favourite books. I bought the audible version and the way the narrator reads adds an excellent depth to the characters making it even better.

Totally recommended to read on paper or audio.

I have read the paperback twice but I really enjoyed listening to the pronunciations of names and places that I was butchering. I don’t think I have ever “read” a book that is so descriptive that you feel like you are right there. Fabulous!

this book is certainly a modern classic. the descriptions of scent and smell almost open up a new world for you as you read it and make you realise how much you don't know about the subject.

the voice actor reading it was also excellent as it required a number of different characters and voices and also a French accent all of which he accomplished masterfully.
