Absolutely loved everything about it. It's been a long time since we've had a genuinely nice and decent guy who also isn't afraid of being tough or hard. It's a thin line that this book easily walked. I loved it.

I must say I enjoyed this new book. I personally like the slow burn, it builds up characters and the narrative. it ended a bit suddenly to, so I really do hope the author is writing book 2, as I'm eager to find out what happens. Heath Miller nails the narration as well even including Jason from HWFM series type Aussie Character , which was pretty funny. all on all well written and definitely deserves all the books to finish the story arc.

So the story is a slow burn, it takes a while for the characters to become powerful. What bothered me the most is the main character gets more and more pious and self righteous as the book goes on. If you enjoy reading about a cleric character then this is probably right up your alley. Not for me though, I prefer the challenging the Gods stereotype.

Breath of fresh air having a proper good aligned mc. So far his patron God seems to be noble and its refreshing to read a hero going about doing hero things.

Good pacing. world building was ok. side characters were well told loved ollie only because he reminds me of Jason Asano. The mc was alright a little bit too righteous leaning towards devotee for my liking. one or two things i had an issue with especially with the power system but all in all listen to the sample and make your best judgement.
