I'm a big fan of Backyard Starship so was somewhat hesitant about a new storyline going back two generations. Initially I found the voices used for some key characters very different from the original and jarring but I have grown to enjoy them. Overall, the narration is great , the storyline fleshes out a backstory that links well with the original and is well written. The bonus story is truly a bonus! I thought I would dabble while waiting for my next episode of BYS. . . but this is no second runner. Now I have two favourites. Thank you, I'm in! and I still love Perry!

An absolutely amazing read. It fills in the back story and the characters are bought to life with clarity and depth. This is a must read for Backyard Starship fans!

Performance was excellent. Big plus was no space marines anywhere. Character development was very good and gave them good depth. Maybe a little bit too much war recollections but not a big issue. I liked this book a lot, well done.

I’ve been left wondering does the story continue chasing down the villain in book 2 or have I missed something I enjoyed the plans of Building a hanger inside the barn I hope there’s more about that as well
