Kylie Scott is always an excellent read. This book didn’t disappoint. I love the easy way you can fall for her characters. They become part of your life for the 6 hours and stay lingering in the background long after, until you go back to read it again.
Leif and Anna are loveable characters, and their story, while it has the dramatics and sadness, it is not depressing. It’s a story of hope, loyalty and change. I loved it.

It's an odd thing, being a reader for so long and listening to a favourite authors work.
I found I couldn't 'see' the world Kylie created as much as when I read her books.
It is a great story though. I enjoyed Leif in Repeat and even more in Pause. Anna pushes through a rough year with strength and assertiveness. Her handling of her ex is awesome. For my first audio, I'm glad I started with a familiar author. Kylie writes with humour and wit and creates wonderful characters.

This is a great story, I do love how Kylie Scott writes her stories. The audio from Andi Arndt is fantastic, I don’t think it could have been better.

I enjoyed this story for the most part however I struggled a little with Anna. Listening to her complete neurosis for hour after hour did become grating and a little exhausting. There was no break from her. We never get the narration from the male leads perspective. 100% of the story is Anna.

The other issue I had was the entire story also continually talks about the accident, her ex and her recovery and struggles. As a reader I have empathy for the character initially. However this is ongoing for the entire story and there is no relief from it. There is nothing light about Anna‘s personality or her characterisation.

Despite all of that, I did enjoy the story. I just wish those specific parts were a little different.
