About this listen

Inspired by a true story, Paths of Glory brings to life one of history’s enduringly enigmatic heroes.

Some people have dreams that are so outrageous that if they were to achieve them, their place in history would be guaranteed. Christopher Columbus, Isaac Newton, Florence Nightingale, Thomas Eddison, Nancy Astor, Charles Lindbergh, Amy Johnson, Edmund Hilary and Neil Armstrong are among such individuals.

But what if one man had such a dream, and when he'd achieved it, there was no proof that he had fulfilled his ambition?

Paths of Glory, is the story of such a man. But not until you've turned the last page of Jeffrey Archer's extraordinary novel, will you be able to decide if mountaineer George Mallory should be added to this list of legends, because if he were, another name would have to be removed.

I read this book several times and decided to also listen to the audio book. I loved it. if you like this book and the story of Mallory, look for the documentary 'the wildest dream' on YouTube.

A wonderful story.

Great story made extra special by the superb narration.
Another classic by Jeffrey Archer, could have been a bit shorter. Very posh at times but it was set in the time of the British Empire. Great listen.
