Publisher's Summary

Ellie, a 30-year-old college professor, decides to purchase and renovate an old schoolhouse in the country. Despite the constant disapproval from her nagging mother, she is ready for the peace and the solitude of country living. Ellie instead finds her new home to have some unwelcome, paranormal guests.

After a terrifying couple of nights, that she tries, but logically cannot explain, she enlists the help of her twin brother, Gauge. Ellie and Gauge turn to the university where they are both employed, and find a small Paranormal Psychology Department. Department head, Paul Henderson, enlists the help of a local paranormal society he's in, and they all head out to the former schoolhouse for a night in the country to investigate.

Flying objects, ghostly children peering in the window, and knives flying across the room are the least of their worries that night. All the pieces of the puzzle of the old schoolhouse start to fit together, as they try to make it out alive.
