Annika Estassy föddes 1962 i Nice och bodde i Senegal och Frankrike tills hon som trettonåring flyttade till Ljusdal i Hälsingland. Idag bor hon i Solna, arbetar i Stockholm och tillbringar helgerna i Roslagens skärgård. I många år arbetade hon inom filmbranschen men är nu verksam som chef på Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan.
