Paddy, der kleine Pirat, lebt mit seinen Freunden, der Schildkröte Kröte und dem Papagei Bo, auf einer kleinen Insel. Ihre Zeit vertreiben sie sich mit Spielen rund um das Piratenhaus. Aber Paddy weiß sich zu helfen: Er erinnert die Eroberer daran, dass sich Piraten auf gar keinen Fall selbst überfallen dürfen. Die anderen bezweifeln, dass er ein richtiger Pirat ist. Sie stellen ihn auf die Probe. Hat er eine Augenklappe? Ein Schiff? Eine Piratenflagge? Und einen Schatz? Letzteres fehlt Paddy leider noch, zum eigenen Bedauern. Also macht sich der mutige kleine Pirat gemeinsam mit Kröte auf die Suche nach einem Schatz und entdeckt dabei Dinge, die viel wertvoller sind als Gold.
