About this listen

Six years ago, I awoke in a cage with no knowledge of who I was or where I’d come from.

Six years ago, I was spared the flesh markets and instead thrown in with a group of savages, where I learned it was fight or die.

Now, eight Orders of Assassins are converging on the only home I’ve ever known. All in hopes of purchasing new blade slaves for their ranks.

I’m for sale, yet all I want is a life far from death and ownership. Then I meet them, the Order of Scorpions.

Their allure is a threat to the freedom I crave, but I won’t fall victim to their sting, no matter how tempting it might be.

They want to own me, to claim me, but the Scorpions have no idea what they’ve bargained for.

They’re about to learn what venom flows in my veins. I don’t just bite…I destroy.

Order of Scorpions is a why-choose dark romance. It contains graphic violence, strong language, explicit romance, and other content that could be triggering. Listener discretion is advised.

I really enjoyed this one. Great long story to get into.
The narrator’s were on point - absolutely perfect performance.
My only complaint is that most of the story happens in the characters minds, not a lot of conversations happening. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it five stars.

Fabulous story!

i did loved the beginning of Auseth's enslavement, the way she fought and learned to lived by her wits. but when the ooder of scorpions bought her, it went downhill from there. Its far too long, it drags on and on and nearly didn't finish it. But Stephen and Maeve are brilliant in their narratives.

***IT WAS TOO LONG***

Excellent story and masterful writing - which was subtly and artfully poetic at times providing an element of balance amidst the ingredients of the narrative.

I so appreciated the superb mix of darkened rage & sorrow, unapologetic rage, violence & vengeance and a tension & snark-fuelled coming together of the mate quad.

The length of the book rocked my world. Even though I couldn’t stop listening and race through lots of books, it lasted a great amount of time. The length did justice to the story, allowing the development of the story and relationships to evolve realistically.

The anticipation that builds as the FMC lives into the arc of her heroes journey and opened up to the eventual (and deliciously sex filled) relationship with the males to unfold in perfect balance with all the other aspects of the world, backstories and distinct personalities that the author wove into her work. And the narrators did an excellent job distinguishing the different voices of all the characters.

If you’re up for sex scenes with multiples; justice served out with unapologetic violence and death; a female lead who earns and owns her physical and mental strength and a relationship imbued with unwavering love, equality and support, then this is a winner.

Loved the shit out of this!
