Publisher's Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of One of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus, read by Kim Mai Guest, MacLeod Andrews, Shannon McManus and Robbie Daymond.

Five students go to detention. Only four leave alive. For fans of Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars, this is the perfect high school thriller.

Yale hopeful Bronwyn has never publicly broken a rule.

Sports star Cooper only knows what he's doing in the baseball diamond.

Bad boy Nate is one misstep away from a life of crime.

Prom queen Addy is holding together the cracks in her perfect life.

And outsider Simon, creator of the notorious gossip app at Bayview High, won't ever talk about any of them again.

He dies 24 hours before he could post their deepest secrets online. Investigators conclude it's no accident. All of them are suspects.

Everyone has secrets, right?

What really matters is how far you'll go to protect them.

Teen tittle tattle

Predictable, who done it with a large helping of sugary sweet teen angst.
Great if you’re a teen.

It’s young adult fiction

You’re not about to have your world rocked by the best fiction ever written lol. It’s young adult teen drama that gives just that. It’s mostly filled with relationship gossip than murder mystery. It’s fun if that’s what you’re into!

Amazing

I couldn't stop listening! Narration and the story were equally brilliant. Loved all the emotion in the voices, and though I did guess some of the twists, including the 'big' one, it was still so satisfying. I smirked, laughed and gasped out loud through the book!

Perfect cross over

Perfect cross over of Pretty little liars, Breakfast club and How to get away with murder. The character development was well done and the mystery was surprising. Perfect comment on today’s society with social media, violence and teenage relationships.

Totally engaging

I really didn't expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. It's as if Agatha Christie wrote the Breakfast Club and set it in 2017, rather than her time (the 1930s and 40s) or the 1980s. As in Christie's books, the novel portrays a stereotypical setting of its time and the main characters initially appear to be simplistic clichés: the brain, the jock, the burnout, the princess who are thrown together in detention. But the unexpected death of a fifth classmate, feared and hated by many in the school, leads to the unveiling of secrets, odd friendships and increasingly bizarre and horrifying twists. This book is both entertaining and well-written. Definitely recommend.

Thrilling

I stumbled upon this book accidently and haven't been able to put it down since, it's gripping and delivers a twist that I didn't see coming.
