Another moron MC... somehow fails to ruin this LitRPG book.

I’m not sure what is so interesting to GameLit authors about MCs who are too stupid to live. Whenever I actually make it to the end of one of these books (which is exceedingly rare) it’s always because the rest of the story was good enough to make up for how frustrating the dolt of an MC was.

I never think to myself, “Wow, this book was so much more enjoyable because the MC’s actions make almost no sense... His inability to make reasonable decisions based on provided information made this audiobook a five star experience!!!”

Yeah. That never happens.

In a very few exceptional situations, I get to the end of an audiobook with a ding-dong for an MC and think, “Wow, in spite of being mildly to extremely annoyed the whole way through this book, I find myself still wanting to know what happens next.”

This is one of those unusual books. I will definitely be getting the next book in this series. I will just hope that the author puts some stat points in his own intelligence pool and drops the superfluous idiocy going forward.

Conan action meet Seinfeld humor

Tremendous book! I loved how the author melded naivete, humor, and brutal violence into the main character. My only complaint is the book was too short. On to the next one!

Finally on Audiable!

This is on of my one of my favorite books. A great series I hope they continue to release in the future. If you want a funny epic story of a slightly op mc that is fighting everything he can from becoming a hero and failing at it puck this series up and enjoy!

Great start to a LitRPG journey of redemption

I enjoyed listening to this LitRPG audiobook. The story centers around Montana's adventures in a new gamelike world. It's a story of redemption, and Montana's attempt to find a way to live a good life with this second chance. The narrator did a great job as well. I fully plan to listen to the sequels.

Redemption LITRPG

Good story, i was pretty surprised by how well it was done. The start was different and a bit confusing (got more cleared up later). overall it's a redemption story of a "Bad guy" in a previous difficult situation, trying to start over in a different world. pS. main character is a bit OP.

Well done novel and audio execution

The audio kept me entertained and wanting more, the narrator did a wonderful job at character voicing and pacing. The story was well done and flowed nicely, my only issues were a few repetitions where the MC was told the same thing about the game system by different people and didn’t know the issue each time. A few things forgotten along the way can be overlooked as the plot worked well.
