Just for Today

It sounded like they were reading in an empty room - very low tech and distracting

Highly Recommend
Once you get past the accent in pronouncing some words, the voice is pleasant and easy to understand. Book content is amazing. This is approved AlAnon literature.

amazing to hear all at once
What made the experience of listening to One Day at a Time in Al-Anon the most enjoyable?
hearing the days read day by day month by month no skipped or forgotten days. This will kick start or boost your recovery. Playing it on the Bluetooth in my newer car on a long drive was amazing.Only caveat.: the same readers throughout. No men's voices. I could have let the reading voices put me out, but I opted for surrendering to what was available and getting help that way.
Who was your favorite character and why?
N/A
Have you listened to any of Anonymous members of Al-Anon Family Groups’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
nothing compares to live event speakers
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
N?A
Any additional comments?
use other voices next time. Young, old, man, woman, different accents, north south east west, immigrant English etc. This is who the members are today!

Addition to program
I start my day by listening the daily readings here. These are great reminders to keep with you during the day. The narration is done by a member in a clear calm voice. This is a great addition to group meetings. I am going to listen again and again.

Very boring
I tried to listen to this book. I got through the first chapter and barely staying awake. I would only recommend this book for someone who enjoys listening to mono tone of a self diary.

Somewhat repetitive. Great AlAnon concepts.
Would've enjoyed more narrators. Predominantly narrated by one woman who pronounced the word ideas as idears. Much enlightenment though I wished there were more personal stories.

Disappointing
This audiobook is not formatted as a daily reader. It is not indexed by subject. In it's current form it is useless.

Need a New Reader
Every time she says i-Dee-your instead of Idea, it bothers me a lot. Please consider redoing this

Narration and background noise distracting
The narrators, and poor recording was difficult to listen to. While I understand the book is a daily reader, it doesn’t translate on audio format. Stick with the text format.
