Publisher's Summary

Remembering the dead will always give them life.

The coveted Morrígan’s staff is up for sale on the black market to the highest bidder, and SOA Special Agent Patrick Collins will do whatever it takes to ensure the Dominion Sect doesn’t get their hands on it. Returning the weapon to its rightful owner is another step on the long road toward clearing Patrick’s soul debt, but he won’t walk it alone. Jonothon de Vere won’t let him.

Obeying the gods means Patrick must travel to London. For Jono, it means facing a past he thought he’d left behind forever. His return to England isn’t welcome, and neither is their pack, but Jono and Patrick will face the antagonism together. Politics aside, their priority must be the mission, but the bone-chilling secret they uncover in the London god pack will have far-reaching repercussions no one can ignore.

A race against time takes Patrick and Jono from the streets of London to the bright lights of Paris, where hospitality is thin on the ground, the air is filled with whispered prayers for the missing, and the Morrígan’s staff will end up in the one place it should never have gone - a graveyard.

For beneath Paris lie the long-forgotten dead, and when they rise to walk again, the living can only hope to die.

On the Wings of War is a m/m urban fantasy with a gay romantic subplot and a HFN ending. It is a direct sequel to A Vigil in the Mourning. Listening to the first book in the series would be helpful in enjoying this one.

Best yet!

This one has such great pacing and seemless action - do you need more of a sell than: Zombie Invasion and absurd amounts of property damage? Furlong did an exceptional job too with attention to details (making Patrick have less accurate French pronunciation than Jono for example.) If you've followed the series this far, you'll love this one!

Just keeps getting better and better

I can’t say enough how much I love this series and each book just keeps getting better and better which at times seems impossible and yet it’s very possible. I can’t wait for the next book and to get even more of these characters! I loved the action in this story so much. I love Patrick and Jono together and the pack dynamic. I just want so much more of these characters and their stories. The narrator does a fantastic job as always bringing the characters and story to life which takes an amazing book and pushes it over the top. I love the new places for them to explore and nee characters to meet along with more of some of the old characters I love.

Never Ending Delight

This is one of those series were you don't know if you want it to end or not. On one hand your favorite characters have gone through so much, you just want them to be happy. And on the other you never want it to end because you love the characters and story so much. This book was absolutely amazing, and I'm already geared for what's next, the ending is a Super Cliffhanger Ending. And as always Gary Furlong brings these amazing characters to life.

Fantastic!

Wow, just when I thought this series couldn't get any better, Hailey Turner proves me wrong! It is simply one of the best series I have ever had the pleasure of reading or listening to and this installment is no exception! Filled with wonderful characters, a tightly woven plot and edge of your seat action, it was perfection! Gary Furlon continues to do an excellent job narrating this series!

A fast paced, urban fantasy!

I love the world building of this entire series. Each book keeps getting better and better and I can't help but look forward to listening to them. If you like a fast paced paranormal, urban fantasy setting you will love this. If you like an action packed romantic, fantasy mystery, I do recommend this. Gary Furlong has performed an exceptional audio delivery as well.

More please!

Things really ramp up in this 5th book of the series as the action moves overseas. There are so many twists and turns in the story (along with a doozy at the end) that it’s hard to catch your breath. The elusive Spencer is quite a character, one I hope we continue to see more of. I love the partnership between Patrick and Jono along with the various pack dynamics. Gary Furlong continues to do a good job with the narration, with the voices remaining consistent from one book to the next. I’ll be impatiently waiting for more adventures.

I love your sense of humor

These books keep getting better with each book and I can’t help longing for next book in the series as soon as I finish listening this one. Seriously, if you love urban fantasy, Hailey Turner books are a must. They really are like crack that once you start, you won’t be able to stop. I love that this book was set in London/Paris because it’s a new and exciting environment for both our boys and readers. Ans of course, Jono’s arrival will trigger and cause unease for London godpack. We also meet a new and fascinating character Spencer and boy, he was sweet and interesting. And the second half of the book is set in Paris and the chaos there is just messy and delicious. I love how the relationship between Jono and Patrick get better and deeper with each book in the series. They take up for the majority of the book but I just can’t get enough of these two delicious guys. As always, this book is chaotic, full of mysteries and hidden agendas and danger and oh-so-delicious. Hailey Turner always write the best action scenes and Gary Furlong’s narration was just magnificent as always. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. 4.5 I love your sense of humor stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Audio rating Story - 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Narration - 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Performance - 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Overall - 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

Captivating!

Now, this captivating book featured another adventure and more secrets discovered while the plot thickens and became more twisted and dangerous. Jono and Patrick found their bond stronger and their feelings for each other deeper. Of course the wonderful performance and voice acting of Mr Furlong helped with the ambiance enhancing the experience to read this book. I can't wait to read what is next specially after that last chapter! Simply WOW!

Incredible!

Hailey Turner is some sort of genius when it comes to these ridiculously interwoven plot lines. It seems like even the most irrelevant scene turns into a clue and every character is a puzzle piece. I loved this. I love all of her work.

On The Wings Of War

I don’t think I have ever been so invested in a fantasy series as I have than with Hailey Turner’s Soulbound series. I remember right at the beginning when I reviewed book one, I wasn’t really enamoured with the relationship between Jono and Patrick, but as the books have developed so has their friendship, love and loyalty. Hailey never ceases to amaze me with her complex storytelling, imagery and world building. In this instalment Jono and Patrick and friends travel to London and Paris to try to regain the Morrigan staff. There is so much action going on in all of these books that you could read/listen to them numerous times and still find something you missed first time round, so they are definitely going to be placed in my favourites folder! Gary Furlong has become a firm favourite and a go to narrator for me since listening to him narrate this series.

What a twist to the end

This is another excellent instalment in the series. I love the way the story is developing. Patrick and Jono are solid and so perfect together and their pack is coming along nicely. This one is a tad gory. Can't wait to see where this goes. These books need to be read in order and can not be read as a standalone. Great narration brings even more life to the characters.

Patrick and Jono in Europe

This series is awesome! I love the antics of Patrick, Jono and their God Pack. It was fab to see them in London and then Paris...with lots of mayhem and magical mischief afoot! Wade discovers some new tasty snacks and his appetite for food remains a constant source of delight and amusement! Gary Furlong continues to do a wonderful job of bringing these brilliant characters to life. Highly recommended and best enjoyed in sequence in the series as this is the fifth book with two more still to come, as per Hailey's own words in her Facebook group, Hailey's Hellions.

I know I’m biased because this is my most favourite series, but with good reason. Hailey is an absolute genius with world building, the characters are so likeable even when you hate them. Gary does an incredible job of narrating this book

Fantastic series continuation!!

Hailey Turner never fails to impress with the depth and intricacies of the plot for the individual book as well as the overall series arc. Definitely a series that should be read in order and highly recommend! You can't fail to recognise the bond that Patrick and Jono have, even if they don't spend a lot of time together, off doing their own thing when it comes to pack business, Patrick's work with the SOA and their continued battle against Ethan and the Dominion Sect. In this book we follow an artefact to London, where Jono was exiled from before he moved to the USA. It's not a warm welcome and adds a lot of drama that their group really doesn't have time for. They end up having to follow the case on to Paris where the city's history comes into play with their catacombs and missing playing a big role in the outcome for the group and the artefact. To help with communication between packs, Sage joins them on their trip and then Wade also tags along to keep an eye on him but also his dragon shifter rarity and abilities are something that really comes in useful! We really visit some amazing places throughout the series but this time it's gone international. I loved reading the characters interaction with London and nodding along at the craziness of the London streets. There's so much going on through the book that you have to pay attention as there's a lot going on and some details will refer back to events and characters from previous books. Every action, reaction and conversation plays a part in how the story unfolds and the plot comes together. Relationships are strengthened but also put to the test with dangerous situations constantly unfolding. This is one of my favourite series to read and listen to. Hailey has created a crazy world world with magic, shifters, demons, vampires, gods and so much more! It's a story that is gripping right from the start and damn what an ending! Book six is highly anticipated! Gary Furlong is always impressive with his narration of the Soulbound series. With this book going international, there are varying accents to contend with as well as the regular cast and I really enjoyed them all. That's alongside the drama, action, sarcasm and ever hungry Wade to portray. Gary does an amazing job, really bringing the whole world to life.

This Series Gets Better And Better

I loved this book when I read it. Patrick and Jono are one of my favourite book couples in one of my favourite urban fantasy series. The action is relentless as the guys chase the Morrigan's staff across Europe, with London and Paris getting their turn with Patrick's particular brand of adventure and destruction... Gary Furlong does another amazing job bringing the story to life, really ramping up the tension and suspense in the more pacy parts, bringing some real spine tingling feelings to the darker elements and raising some real laughs out loud where there's humour...his portrayal of Wade in particular is brilliant for this. I absolutely recommend this audiobook, but with the caveat that I'd also start at the beginning of the series if you haven't already listened to those books.
