Refreshingly real
Loved listening to this wonderful book. Great characters, themes and storytelling from perspectives that need their stories out there.

The second half is amazing
It starts a bit slow but really picks up in the second half. Important subject matter.

So worth persisting!!
I am glad I persisted. The second half is brilliant But I did have to slow down the narration speed a little. It was too fast

Loved this
I’m from a colonised country so this resounded. But it also resounded for other reasons; it was feminist, there was humour and it was just simply relevant.

Oh my goodness… this was phenomenal
I am so so so happy with this book. First of all, the performances alone should be reason enough to give this one a listen considering they aren’t just reading off the page, but actually acting and doing an amazing job at showing the emotion of the words. Secondly, the STORY. The story was amazing, and I’m so happy that it is a part of my life. I feel like I’ve finished the book and learnt something, and have been moved by it. Good luck, and have the best time reading this!
