Novalis (1772 - 1801), eigentlich Georg Philipp Friedrich von Hardenberg, war deutscher Schriftsteller und Philosoph der Frühromantik. Seine "Geistlichen Lieder", die hier präsentiert werden, waren von ihm als neues Liedgut für den protestantischen Gottesdienst gedacht. Der zweite Teil des Hörbuchs, "Blütenstaub", ist eine Sammlung von Aphorismen und Kurz-Essays philosophischen Inhalts. Beide Teile zusammen ergeben eine wunderbare Werkschau des Autors.
