Summary

Mr. Darcy is not in want of a wife.

Determined to avoid a loveless marriage, he devises a clever plan to protect his heart from fortune-hunters and relentless matchmakers. Elizabeth Bennet heartily agrees to join him in feigning a courtship, believing it will allow her to escape her mother’s matchmaking schemes.

As their deception spirals into a whirlwind of unexpected complications, both Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy begin to discover a deep connection neither of them anticipated. But when their charade comes to an end, will they find the courage to reveal their true feelings, or will they part ways forever?

If you cherished the classic love story of Pride and Prejudice, you won't want to miss this enchanting variation, filled with humor and heart. A sweet, kissing-only Regency romance that culminates in a heartwarming happily ever after for Our Dear Couple.

There were many great original story lines in this novel - indeed, too many for one work. With some serious editing, it could be excellent. The narrators were wonderful as usual. However, the difference in sound production is really very irritating. The quality of sound with Harry‘s narration is clear and crisp, but in comparison Stevi’s recording sounds muffled and is considerably softer. With the two best narrators in the P&P genre, you would think whoever hires them could spring for the same quality of recording equipment or at least advise them on any adjustments that might need to be made so that the listening experience is pleasurable!
