Publisher's Summary

Charlotte Southwick always has a plan. Boarding her honeymoon cruise alone and decidedly unmarried wasn’t her intention. Neither was running into her high school love on board. Lexi looks so confident, and so hot, and so irresistible.... How could she have let this woman get away?

Lexi Bronson hasn’t had a permanent address in almost a decade and couldn’t be happier. Life is good bartending for a luxury cruise line - open seas, warm beaches, beautiful women, and no unnecessary anchors - until the woman who broke her heart shows up on her ship, and all those dreams of forever come rushing back.

When passion flares, will the storm that rages shipwreck them both?

Good Story, Average performance, Below-par prose

The good: * Very little unnecessary angst * Fun main characters * Good sex scenes that actually include the characters, not just generic movements and pleasure The bad: * Cliché phrases * Completely unnecessarily detailed movements that is really hard to follow * Spoonfeeding of the reader with lots of showing THEN telling I understand these last two seem contradictory, but that's the problem. The author tells us what we don't need to know, and so it's hard to retain what we do need to know to enjoy the story.

Good first half

The first half was great. Then it got super boring for me. To each her own but it wasn’t one of my favorites.

Disappointed

The story and dialogue started out strong, but then fizzled. I just didn’t connect with this book and wouldn’t have finished it if I hadn’t purchased it. I expected a more mature writing style and original clever dialogue. After listening to Media Darling TWICE and loving it, I was disappointed in this one.

What an adventure

There are certain things that you expect when you pick up a Fiona Riley book hot sexy characters and hot steamy sex, this book had both all wrapped up on a cruise ship. Now I want to go on a cruise and look for all the extra things that I found out in this story. First we meet Charlotte who’s going on her honeymoon cruise but not for her honeymoon and how ironic that her one true teenage love is working on this same ship. Was Lexi the one true love that got away? As Charlotte and Lexi start to explore their developing relationship we clearly see this to be true. I’ve always loved the diversity of Riley’s supporting characters I alway seem to find there is something for everyone and they complement the story quite well. This story worked for me I love cruising and I’m gonna have to look for Charlotte and Lexi on my next one this is a book that will take you on a beautiful adventure if you let it, I sure did.

Cute story

Sweet story about teen loves reunited as young adults. The couple resolve their relationship pretty quickly and there’s not too much outside of the relationship, despite what could have been an interesting narrative of life as a cruise ship employee visiting Islands in the carribean, but it was nice to listen to. The narrator is good.

Not bad

It is not the worst book by Fiona Riley, but it is not the best one. It was OK. It is a good listening for vacation but not more than that. Keira Grace narrated well.

One of my top favs

This was so incredibly good. I loved the narrator's portrayal of Lexi. Her voice and flirtation were off the charts sexy. Keira Grace was a really good fit for this book. It felt authentic and I love that. I need Keirs Grace to do more Lexi type characters. *Swoons*
