Besonders der junge Polizeiobermeister Nils Scheffler genießt den Trubel und seine damit verbundene Stellung als Polizeiberater am Set sehr. Doch dann wird einer der Aufnahmeleiter tot aufgefunden, spektakulär an die Stelzen eines Pfahlbaus gekettet. Als außerdem die zweite Hauptdarstellerin verschwindet, drängt Nils, der sich in sie verliebt hat, darauf, dass hier etwas nicht stimmen kann. Gemeinsam mit den Kommissaren Hendrik Norberg und Anna Wagner beginnt er im Fall der Vermissten zu ermitteln. Und dieser ist verworrener, als es zunächst scheint...
