Good for Continuing professional development

This was an excellent refresher for anyone working as an emergency nurse or junior doctor. It is very American in its content and therefore some procedures and drugs are not practiced here in Australia, but nonetheless, the content is good revision and would greatly educate any nurses thinking of specialising in emergency nursing.

Ok for revision

This book good for revision but after discussing some of the information with one of the ED consultants I found there is a lot of outdated practices (read in 2019). I did have to actively convert much of the information to an Australian standard such as temperature and brand names of drugs. I also noted some incorrect information in the reading; for example what I presume was a written "mw" in talking about lasers being the legal limit in the US during QnA was read as megawatt. This is plainly incorrect because I believe I could safely say that even if you were not to look at a 5 MW laser you would still sustain a notable injury. I do believe the department of defense would also be interested in you if you had a 1 MW laser (5 mW is currently the legal limit in the USA to my understanding).
