Publisher's Summary

Murray Rothbard was known as the state's greatest living enemy, and this book is his most powerful statement on the topic. He explains what a state is and what it is not. He shows how it is an institution that violates all that we hold as honest and moral, and how it operates under a false cover. He shows how the state wrecks freedom, destroys civilization, and threatens all lives and property and social wellbeing, all under the veneer of "good intentions".

    "A highly informative book."

A great explanation of how the state is self perpetuating through coercion and enslavement of its citizens.

    "Against State Power"

Fantastic starting point for Libertarians to dive into Rothbard. While the narrator is okay, the content is magnificent and makes up for it. I recommend reading it twice to fully take in the important yet briefly stated arguments. I will also recommend The Law by Bastiat as a book to read next. Both make great points and strong arguments. A must read for all people who love liberty!

I'm not English speaking so I'm not perfect in English. so it was difficult to stay with it because of the narrator reading way to fast

    "robotic voice"

This content is great. The reading had an odd cadence, but is understandable. For just a couple bucks, grab it up. (or get it from mises.org if you want.)
