As a fellow Brit that has made the leap and moved to the other side of the world, I loved this! I laughed out loud, I cried in parts and smiled as Christian told so many stories that resonated with me. Just brilliant!

I’m not sure I loved this book so much because of my fondness of the author or his stories about moving to Oz? I first encountered The OC on XFM. I was living in London at the time. He brightened my morning and I loved the music he played. My family and I also moved to Oz due to my husbands work and I really identified with his stories as I had similar struggles. I laughed so much, belly laughed, and shed a tear. This book is from the heart and I recommend it wholeheartedly. He’d be a great bloke to have a pint with. Amanda.

I joined audible to quieten all the noise in my head, to fill hours of doubt and negative thoughts with stories, literature and education. I never expected to get this sort of laughter therapy and genuine reflection from a book.
Thank you Christian for writing and recording this I am better for it.
This is incredibly honest and throughly entertaining. Great read for anyone but particularly middle aged men, expatriates or anyone who may be questioning what is or isn’t going on in their life.

Being from England and moving to Melbourne made this so relatable. Christian is a great story teller who captures the rollercoaster ride of moving to another country where you don’t know a soul. I really really loved this book
