About this listen

Lady Juliana, daughter of the Earl of St. Maur, needs all the help she can get. She's running a ramshackle orphanage, London's worst slumlord has illicit designs on her, and her father has suddenly become determined to marry her off.

Enter Major Neil Wraxall, bastard son of the Marquess of Kensington, sent to assist Lady Juliana in any way he can. Lucky for her, he's handy with repairs, knows how to keep her and the orphans safe, and is a natural leader of men.

Unfortunately for both of them, the scandal that ensues from their mutual attraction is going to lead them a merry dance....

An enjoyable book. About a Lady who wants to run an orphanage much against her fathers wishes. And a returned solder, who has a dubious beginning to his life and is then traumatised by his war career.
Could have done a bit better with final editing as a few mistakes.

Very good

Story was nice. A broken down ex soldier and a refined daughter of an earl who runs an orphanage find their way together. Agree with other reviewer. Explicit sex scenes detract from historical romance theme.

Nice Story.

Loved the story. Would appreciated less sex scenes; they interrupted the telling of the story
