About this listen

Enter the world of the rich, charismatic Lytton family and their powerful publishing empire in this passionate family saga that spans from the Edwardian era to World War I and the excesses of the glamorous 1920s. Enter the world of Celia Lytton, a woman who is used to getting her way. Celia makes difficult and often dangerous decisions that affect not only herself, her husband Oliver, and their children, but others—the destitute Sylvia Miller, whose life is transformed by Celia's intrusion; Oliver's daunting elder sister, who is not all she appears to be; and Sebastian Brooke, for whom Celia makes the most dangerous decision of all.

I absolutely loved this Novel. I couldn’t wait to put in my ear phones at every given opportunity. Outstanding!!!!
Shame Audible doesn’t offer the second instalment of this Trilogy 🥲

One of the best novels ever

I returned this title as I could not stand the awful English accents attempted by the American narrator. I am Australian and I would describe the accent as a cross between Crocodile Dundee and Dick van Dyke. It is beyond horrendous.
Don't be put off the author because of this dreadful performance. I am reading the book instead.

Terrible Narrator
