Publisher's Summary

How prepared are you to guide your baby through the firsts months of his life?

There’s nothing quite like the first stages of your baby's development, as they are arguably the ones that will have the most impact throughout toddlerhood.

First-time parents and veterans agree that the first year can be one of the most challenging stages to face.

Here's some of what you can expect to learn in this book:

  • How to properly feed your baby for optimal development and health throughout the first year
  • How to avoid having endless sleepless nights by sleep-training your child
  • How to avoid common mistakes that parents make that can end up harming their baby's development in the long-term
  • How to properly deal with separation anxiety and make it much easier on your child and you
  • The biggest challenges parents face in the first year and how to easily overcome them

Would you like to enjoy going through every stage of your child's development without worrying if you're doing the right thing or not?

The earlier you manage to give proper guidance and care, the easier it is for babies to grow into healthy children.

However, there is no such thing as being too late, and even tricky behaviors and habits can be helped.

Increase confidence in your parenting abilities. Start by taking care of your baby the proper way from the moment he arrives home for the first time!

helps to nail down the basics

informative for the new parent. helps defuse some potentially worrisome situations, like the part on unusual baby breathing noises. Author lays it out in understandable terms. enjoyed it. will probably listen to it again.

Grab it.

It will teach you how the proper handling and taking care of your baby after giving birth. It also gives you some tips how you can avoid postpartum stage. Being a new mom is not that easy, you have to make a lot of adjustment mentally and physically. This book will be a great help.

Vague

This book is informative but vague. Great for first time expecting moms to just know the highlights of what to expect postpartum.

This book explains what the mother will be going through after birth as well as some brief highlights on the baby.

If you’re looking for a more in depth approach on child rearing- this is not the book.

Overall easy and fast read. Not a bad book to read but not the greatest.

Not worth the purchase

I was super disappointed by this book. The information is so minimal and basic that by the end, it felt like I had read a few articles - not a full fledged book. In fact, there are some very basic facts about newborns that I was shocked weren’t even included. I was hoping to learn more about my newborn and regretted getting this book.

Very informative audible

A friend of mine is expecting his first baby next year! I was looking for a fun, yet informative book for him about babies and what to expect. I was looking for something that was a more straight forward listen. For the average listeners , this would probably be just that, and I recommend it! - it's really good, informative and a funny book!

Perfect guide

This book was a perfect guide for him and provides a great explanation of the basics of baby. A few of the recommendations have changed since the book was published so a few things are not in practice anymore but overall it was a great listen. He listened the entire book in about a week and told me he will be referring back to it when our new baby arrives. Definitely get this book, you won't regret it!

Point by point solutions

The creator of this audio guide composed it with clearness and this is the book you won't get tired of. Hearing the point by point procedures here persuaded me that I purchased the correct book recording.

Great explanation

The author of this explained it with clarity and wisdom. I just can't resist it even though I don't need it yet as my wife just 3-month pregnant. The explaining style and almost everything about it is commendable.

Awesome audible!

I love the way this is explained, it's informative without being in your face. It's more like story telling than instructional. A lot of the philosophy is do what works for you and read the signs from your baby. I also like that there is medical research to back their claims as well as home testimony. I recommend this book to ANY new parent so that they can realize that babies aren't a dog you are supposed to train, but a human being who has their own quirks, their own schedules, and their own way of doing things. Awesome audible!

Strongly recommend!

I bought the audio book and listened to it while commuting back and forth in my car. Strongly recommend for busy people. I am glad that I learned about the concept of attached parenting and importance of breastfeeding. I think I will listen to the newborn part again just to recap before my baby arrives.

Very detailed!

We are the first time parents, still expecting and this book was recommended by a friend as a bible. I think it is a nice book that explains everything in detail and provides different options rather than just one. We are also Europeans and wanted to listen something in addition to a European book (believe me, there are so many differences!), and I think we chose a great option! I would recommend this to anyone!

Interesting learning!

The author wanted to be informative to the general population with an attempt to make things funny and keep listeners interested. Personally, I found it funny and interesting and learned a few things. HOWEVER, if you listen this book with the intent of wanting information straight and to the point, this book is for you.

Useful information

It's definitely a "beginners guide", I would purchase this for a mother- it really does cover the basics of things like "How to Care a Baby" or "How to feed", etc. Useful info for those who have no idea what they're doing around babies (no shame in that!). Not much re-listen value, but does help learning these things a bit more fun. Great gift for clueless caregivers everywhere!
