I struggled through the rhyme at the beginning, thinking I was going to hate the book.

I loved the book found the first hour hard to listen to but then it got great by the end i was disapointed that the book had ended. i thought the narrator did an awesome job 👏

I admit the first hour was a little slow and you do have to push to get into it but honestly after that you get hooked into everything Never night has to offer! I was skeptical about a single male VA doing a female MC but honestly he does it so well you kind of forget that the voice is a ‘man’ at all! Would recommend to everyone!

Overall this book is pretty derivative but some how pulls it all together into a very enjoyable package.

The performance is excellent, the voice actor is actually entertaining to listen to and speaks with a certain cadences that enhances the satire and has a decent range for all the characters he voices.

The Story? Well the world is very derivative of ancient Rome with a touch of dark fantasy, the main antagonist is basically Julius Ceaser. This book is full of all those fantasy tropes that have been done but if you enjoy fantasy, gentle friends? Then this book is definitely for you.
